Self-test for postpartum depression
EPDS questionnaire (Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale)
The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) measures mood in the past 7 days. A high score may indicate depression, but it does not confirm it.
A low score does not mean there is no depression. The EPDS does not replace a medical diagnosis. It simply shows whether you should consult a doctor. Women who feel something is wrong can use the EPDS for an initial self-assessment.
